Robocop: The Winged Chicken of Victory

A kid came up to me at the water fountain yesterday.

“Robocop is like a winged chicken,” he announced.  Then he wiped the water off his chin and went back to his classroom.

Wha-?  Is that like Winged Victory?  Or more like a chicken wing?

Having never seen Robocop, I wondered if I was missing some sort of cultural reference.  So I immediately googled ‘robocop chicken.’

I was floored to discover this video, circa 1987.
Huh.  Those second graders at the water cooler might actually be talking sense.
